Hydrocal vs Plaster?

What's the difference between hydrocal and plaster, if there is one?

Hydrocal is a type of plaster where as plaster is a more generic term that could be many things. So plaster is a category that contains Hydrocal, Plaster of Paris, etc...

Hydrocal is the trade name for a stone-like material, similar to hydrostone. Each designates a specific composition of ingredients that yield certain material properties, such as increased strength or decreased expansion.
