So you guys tell her(after I already did). Do pseudomyrmex gracilis chew through wood or eat it? If they live in our houses wall. Will they damage it?

Ants don't eat wood they chew it. If you have a wood nesting ant colony in houses walls there is a high probability that they will cause damage. The damage will increase as the colony size increases, I would suggest getting them out of the walls asap :)

Assuming your ID is correct, the species only lives within existing voids, either ones formed by wood-boring insects, warping of wood, or decay. They are capable of chewing through fairly soft wood and will occasionally excavate their own living quarters, normally within pithy plants and twigs.

Even if they were capable of damaging sound wood, their colonies consist of less than a couple dozen workers and would likely never cause the damage seen in the work caused by termites or Camponotus pennsylvanicus.
