Is that a test tube around the cotton leading from the hydration chamber? I've been considering adding a glue-gunned barrier around my cotton so the substrate doesn't get soaked because I havent found a place to get large vinyl tubing yet.

 

 

It's vinyl tubing, you can find that at Home Depot.

Let me make enough first for my colonies, and will start selling them. Really impressed with the thickness and quality of these containers. The lid is air tight and sealed. Will post pics of what they will look like once but. The hydrostone will have a sand covered substrate as well like the ones pictured below. They will also have molds for not one but two test tubes, so you can use two at a time, or have only one and use another for replacement.

If you search hard enough, pretty sure you can find where. Someone is going to post that on here eventually.

 

But I am not going to share because I still need a lot of these made, and once you find out where, you greedy scrubs will go online and order 94387569054886954679349540839048309238 of them and leave none for us. Thanks for nothing! That's the price of sharing your knowledge but never getting anything in return.

 

Also, you cannot buy these individually. They must be purchased in bulk. My first order already saturated their current supply, but also said more will be in stock.

 

EDIT: Three of you ninnys messaged asking where to get these. Once I get enough made and no one has posted the link, I'll be more than happy to share the source. Nurbs is nice like that.

Maybe you can organize a "group buy" and split it between the folks who don't need a hundred of them. They come out relatively cheap per container in bulk.

 

The reason I bring this up is because my first order of one set (100 boxes) wasn't even all in stock. It took them a month to get it all made and shipped. And now that someone posted the price and where to get them, everyone is going to order them, which will most likely increase lead times to 2-3 months because they only come in bulk.

Maybe if we tell them that we need like a thousand made, they will up production due to higher demand. I am sure if everyone emails them and asks if they can get them out in say, 2 weeks, they would pay more equipment and time to it, right?
