So on my hunt for camponotus castineus this night I ran across this beauty.
1. Location of collection: Summerville SC
2. Date of collection: 5/29/2017 at night
3. Habitat of collection: my house, woods and creek nearby
4. Length (from head to gaster): about 6mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: red/orange with a pretty yellow black gaster
6. Distinguishing characteristics: interesting markings on gaster along with squarish head
7. Distinguishing behavior:crazy fast
8. Nest description: none

Yeah I think Nathant2131 is right, I just caught one of these and got it IDed on these forums. She has two eggs but they're not in a pile.

I believe they do! I think this is Colobopsis impressa if you're interested in the species.
