ID a Queen 5/28/2017

Hey guys,

I caught a queen yesterday and I don't know what species it is. So I hope you guys can help me.
I'll appreciate the help.

1. Location of collection: Denmark
2. Date of collection: May 27.
3. Habitat of collection: Found in logs.
4. Length (from head to gaster): 8mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Black, but the legs seems to be brown... ish
8. Nest description: Found it in a log with a little chamber.

Perhaps A Pseudolasius Queen?

In Denmark, that would be solely Lasius.

Based from your thoughts I think it might be brunneus, since I found it in a dead log.

But I'm not 100% sure.

Yeah, I would say L. brunneus too. Did you see any other queens of her species wandering around recently?

I have caught 2 of those queens in the same dead log, I could probably find more if I didn't ran out of supplies, however I was hunting for C. herculeanus, those were just a bonus, coincidence.
Haven't seen any other of that species, was only out looking cause the weather, else I have been working in my new apartment and that stuff. Probably going to look again Monday or Tuesday. Else I think the last time I was hunting was last week.
