For the life of me, I cannot find out what kind of ants these are. They are EVERYWHERE. Very fast like the black crazy ants. They do not sting and they live right next to harvester ants without any problems (unlike those fireants). They sometimes build their nests straight up like castles. Generally their little nests are surrounded by dead fireants.

Hope this picture suffices, otherwise I can take more tomorrow.

They have dark heads, and yellow abdomens. They do not sting.

Hard to tell, but from the description, this sounds like Lasius.

We need location and measurements.

Location is Corpus Christi Texas (south on the gulf of mexico)

In a abandoned Golf Course.

Measurement is probably half a centimeter?

I will get better photos tomorrow. They are just so fast it's hard to get a good picture. Ill get a few in a test tube for analysis.

I googled that and you are probably right. I will get better photos. They are everywhere here in this city.
