Location of collection: Summerville, South Carolina, United States
Today's date: 5/22/2017

Habitat of collection: on small wooden bridge over a creek in a wooded park
Length: 6mm
Coloration, hue, pattern and texture: Reddish-Orange head, dark black gaster, a little bit shiny
Distinguishing characteristics: Square head, small mandibles 
Best pictures could get, sorry :( 

Honestly i don't know if it is a queen or worker...

Colobopsis impressa worker, I believe. Such cool ants. :)

Oh yes, that very much looks like Colobopsis sp. It is a worker either way.
