Saw these guys today near Bishop, CA. All I had was my camera phone and we had to leave, so excuse the poor quality. They looked like Pogonomyrmex but almost all black. Are these rugosus?

Camponotus vicinus, Crematogaster 1, Crematogaster 2, Formica francoeuri, *, *, Myrmecocystus testaceus, Novomessor cockerelli, Pheidole hyatti, Pogonomyrmex californicus, Pogonomyrmex rugosus, Solenopsis invicta
Veromessor pergandei. They are super easy to keep, basically look and behave like Pogonomyrmex, grow fast, and make huge colonies.
