Hey guys, I found five of these bad girls last friday. It was a very humid and hot evening. I live on the 3rd and last floor of my building and they were all over my veranda, ON the third floor! In Heraklions center! Not sure if lucky or not :P Hope their colony won't become a big issue...

Here is a close up video of one of them:

 

 

Also note that they are quite small, around 6-8mm long. I am sure they are queens cuz I saw them mate (creepy af, right XD ?)

The video is rather unstable, but I believe these are Prenolepis nitens.

Yeap we only have Prenolepis nitens in Greece. And it looks like it.

Not Prenolepis. Looks like Lasius but I can't see if she has a acidopore or not. BTW what's her size?

Not Prenolepis. Looks like Lasius but I can't see if she has a acidopore or not. BTW what's her size?

Missed that. Well i'm not sure might be Nylanderia.
