Well I've hit another issue. My Camponotus Vicinus has around 10 larvae, and they're all 1st instar. Problem is, they've literally been this big for a MONTH, even though I give them insects like houseflies and green bottle flies. As for sugar, they have sugar water every day. Their nest is a test tube setup in a box full of sand (I didn't have any other substrate). What am I doing wrong? Does bright light affect their growth? I would really appreciate advice.
