Hey everyone!

 

I caught another queen who was in a founding chamber. I decided to include some of the substrate from around the chamber into her test tube set up with the hope that she will love it and produce eggs like crazy. So far she seems to be obsessing on how she wants the dirt arranged, moving it from one side to the other, digging tunnels, then filling them back in.

 

I am interested in all of your opinions, experiences, and suggestions. I appreciate any input you all have, good or bad, or otherwise.

Although, now that I am thinking about it and watching her, it is hard to view her and I imagine when I get my macro lens on saturday that taking pictures will also prove difficult. We shall see.

I would make sure the test tube does not move in the slightest. The substrate can likely cause more trouble than good if it gets moved around, subjected to vibrations etc.

You don't want to bury her eggs on accident. You also don't want her wasting a whole lot of energy in a continuous loop of fixing collapsed structures that she created either.
