This topic is intended to educate customers and potential customers on warranties, product recalls, and notices for byFormica products.
Product Warranties
To initiate a warranty replacement request, customers purchasing from any Amazon store may email [support at byformica.com] with your Amazon Order ID, current mailing address, and a description of the problem you're experiencing. You may also contact us here through the forum (private message, please), or by messaging our store on Facebook. We will reply within 1 business day. If you do not receive a reply, then it is likely we did not receive your message. In this case, please try contacting us a different way.
For customers purchasing from Gamergate.com.au, please contact Gamergate for a replacement.
Galileo Liquid Feeders:
All byFormica liquid feeders are warranted for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase. If the feeder breaks or otherwise fails during that time, the customer is entitled to a replacement either at no cost, or at our option, for the cost of shipping.
Sunburst Ant Nectar:
For bottles sold on or after Feb 1, 2018: Bottles of Sunburst Ant Nectar are warranted to be free from mold or other adverse microbial growth until the printed "Best By" date on the bottle, or 9 months after the date of sale, whichever comes first. If mold or other organisms visibly grow in the bottle during that time, the customer is entitled to a replacement either at no cost, or at our option, for the cost of shipping.
For bottles sold before Feb 1, 2018: Warranted until the printed "Best By" date on the bottle, or 9 months after the date of sale, whichever comes later.
Fluon:
Bottles of Fluon PTFE are warranted to be free from defects for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase. The customer is entitled to a replacement either at no cost, or at our option, for the cost of shipping.
Product Notices
February, 2018 Update:
A critical ingredient in Sunburst Ant Nectar can change composition when exposed to CO2 in air. The effect of this gradual change includes a greater susceptibility to mold and bacterial growth, and reduced phagostimulant activity, both occurring about 6 to 9 months after opening, depending on product usage. To mitigate deterioration and ensure product quality, always keep bottles of Sunburst tightly capped when not in use. Cooler storage temperatures may also extend product life.
As a result, we are changing the product warranty. For bottles purchased on or after Feb. 1, 2018, the warranty for Sunburst Ant Nectar now reads: "Warranted until the printed "Best By" date on the bottle, or 9 months after the date of sale, whichever comes first."
For bottles purchased before Feb. 1, 2018, the warranty is as follows: "Warranted until the printed "Best By" date on the bottle, or 9 months after the date of sale, whichever comes later."

Important Voluntary Recall for Sunburst Ant Nectar:
byFormica is initiating a voluntary recall of Sunburst Ant Nectar due to a cosmetic issue affecting product color, caused by a change to the ingredients. The following product(s) with a BEST BY date of 07/30/2021 are affected:
- Sunburst Ant Nectar, Original Formula, 120 mL Bottle
The "annatto color" ingredient in these products can fade when the product is stored at temperatures exceeding 10 degrees celsius (50 F). To the best of our knowledge, this is only a cosmetic non-conformity, and the affected products remain safe to use.
Nevertheless, we are issuing this voluntary recall to allow any affected customers to receive a replacement product if requested by or before July 30, 2021.
