Why did Antony start writing a random argument?

Also, those are some beautiful pics. I love the Pheidole pics.

Also, Army Ants are a joy to keep, but refrain from queen collection (the whole argument summarized in a sentence). The queens die easily and often move frequently.

I had been keeping ants for 11 years, know many things about all genus of ants, wrote many tutorials and sharing to the ant keeper`s community of China.

I know we may have many different points of view on ants, it`s just normal, I respect the admin and members here, so if I did anything incorrect, just tell me to fix it.

I love aggressive species very much, and keeping a colony of army ants is my dream, few keepers here in China share the same goal with me, I really like to know how army ants hunting for food, how fast they developing with the colony.

Dorylinae orientalis could be found in many provinces of China, Hunan, Hupei, Fujian, Hainan, Guangdong, Guangxi and Yunnan. I also promised my friend who are studying ants in college to catch one and send to him. But sadly, army ants is extremely difficult to catch, I did not get one so far, they like raid at night and has a lot of satellite nest. So ant hunting is not a big deal here, cos they are too many, and the bad effect to environment is hard to measure. But just like I said before, it`s ok for me to delete any photos or thread if it makes members here uncomfortable.

Cheers!

Do you have a latin name of your ants? Cos I have no idea about the name you mentioned above.

Do you mean Pseudoneoponera rufipes?

Well, C. nicobarensis is very easy for keeping.

Sugar, Sugar, Sugar, Sugar, Sugar, more sugar and a little bit protein such as roaches.

Don`t feed them with protein when you don`t have many hungry larvae.

I've wanted to keep army ants as well :P

I probably won't be able to, though, because I live nowhere close to a Neivamyrmex/Dorylus nesting site. I do live next to a Leptogenys Falcigera colony, though.

Make sure you post in English here so others can read the posts. It's actually one of the rules.
