I'm 40 minutes north of SF, willing to drive a bit, and wanting to buy queens!  anyone have some spares? a good, small starter colony? let me know friends!

Drew and Nurbs are both 6hrs away and neither ship within the state.. so its not as self explanatory as is seems. The post was in hopes that i would catch the eye of someone a little more local, and as i am new to the forum and unfamiliar with who lives where or might be able to help with this request i feel it was a good place to start <3

Is there a better place to find this info than the AC website? that's where i usually look.. The Sacramento farmer always seems to be sold out, and the santa ana and sonoran farmer i have tried to get a hold of through AC before but got no where.. i even applied for their forums as well and have had no response from the admin needed to let me post.  I guess in short, I'm just unfamiliar with how to go about contacting farmers.

You live in an area rich with ant diversity. If you cannot find any local farmers, you are most welcome to drive down to meetup with Drew or myself.

Or just go anting in the mountains near your home. I camp in the Eastern Sierras a few times during the summer and find lots of different species.

anyone know who the GAN farmer in West Sacramento is?

First of all, you'll have to excuse Alabama Anter.

As for the Santa Ana GAN farmer, that would be me. Aside from the AntsCanada GAN listing page, this really is the best place to get a hold of a seller, especially if you're from CA. Also there is a Facebook group (Ants California) where there are a lot of people from your area.

It might be Jeff Balderston, the guy who runs the Ants California Facebook group. That's just my guess.

Not trying to be a booty, but honestly, if he just PMed a bunch of people, he would be fine. My bad I guess....

YsTheAnt and I may sell queens this anting season depending on how many we catch. We live in the Bay Area, so pretty close to you.
