April 11th, 2017.

on April 9th, it reached 73 degrees. Me and another ant keeper caught 22 queens each of Prenolepis Imparis.

Here are pictures of a few of the queens I have caught. So far, none have laid eggs.

I also have 6 queens in a dirt setup. However, one queen always wanders out of their founding nest and walks around the surface. She has wings and I suspect she is infertile.

The dirt setup queens got killed by a centipede that somehow got into the setup, all except for one of them. She's digging a new chamber.

Also, one of the 3 queen colonies has an estimated 30 or so eggs. Here they are.

Killed by a centipede? Where did you get the dirt?

All my colonies are dead.

 Except:

  Pogonomyrmex barbatus

  Pheidole obscurithorax

  Pheidole morens

My backyard. I baked that soil, so it had to have come from a different one of my setups, maybe my Terrarium.
