It has roughly 40 workers and a huge brood pile. What scares me is that there is larvae larger than the pupae and the workers. I'm not sure why, but I'll soon find out. Anyway, here are some pictures.

This colony decided to escape and burrow through my other colonies cotton, and have a war. I noticed and had to throw tons of workers into the outworld.
Their size has grown to roughly 50 or so workers, with 50 or so more coming soon as pupae. There's also a ton or larvae and eggs.

Tetramorium (like all ants) are slightly polymorphic. They don't exactly have majors but they do have smaller and larger workers. May also be an alate (if so, most likely a male).
We should respect all forms of consciousness. The body is just a vessel, a mere hull.

Yes, however, I have already gotten slightly polymorphic workers. This pupae is bigger than them.
Just to clarify, "polymorphism" refers to distinct classes of ants within a colony (major, minor, etc.). This does not mean that the slightly larger worker your colony has makes it "polymorphic". On a side note, in my experience with Tetramorium it takes quite a while for colonies to get full sized workers. You're going to see the colony's workers get larger and larger with time, but this does not make Tetramorium polymorphic.
