Ms. Terry was found March 10th 2017 in Pasadena CA. 

 

Suggested species that she might be so far:

 

Camponotus laevigatus

Camponotus quersicola

Camponotus vicinius

 

I'll be updating the top post with albums (to keep image count down) and individual posts with the images themselves linked.

Most likely C. vicinus. BTW I used to live in Pasadena. Great city.

Easy way to tell C. vicinus and C. quercicola apart is to look at the clypeus. If there is a ridge down the center of it, then it's probably C. vicinus. C. laevigatus is out of the question for this queen.
