What is the perfect temp for keeping solenopsis invicta? Right now, since it's late, in North florida the temperature of my house has cooled to 77 degrees. Earlier (around 4-5 pm) it was 82 degrees in my house. I know the fire ants are a tropical species and can live super hot climates, so is 77-82+ too hot or just perfect? Note: the room they're in might be the coolest.

Be careful with invicta and optimal temperatures. You might end up with TooManyAnts very quickly.

I agree with Serafine. As a beginner do not heat them. They will have up to 100 workers in 1 month.
