[Ants Galore]

I caught this queen in the mud, and when I put it in the vial I stuck its abdomen in the small amount of dirt that was in the vial. So when I put it into the test tube setup it sticks it's abdomen into the cotton. What's going on? It keeps putting its abdomen under it's thorax. A bit hard to tell, but I think it's probably just trying to clean itself off - in the picture it almost looks like it's on it's back which isn't a good sign.

It's not usual on its back though
It's constantly trying to do that

I think it should be okay then - it's probably just trying to clean(?) the gaster - mated queens tend do that.

Even if it is injured. Not much you could really do, not like you could take it to your local Vet... You'll end up waiting it out anyways lol
