I keep coming across centipedes at my house. Not sure what that means. I've got a nest? They like it around there? Its an actual problem? No sure..... They are there though.

Hey I live in Grand junction too! I'm glad to hear of so many others here! the tetramorium have been crazy abundant and I'm getting my first nanitics. I caught too many too so if you know of anyone who wants to start I can give them a queen or a couple with or without nanitics (for now). and if anyone is ever down, it may be fun to go hunting together and I always want to learn more! sorry for rambling but nice to meet you all!

Hi Battles!

There are a few of us in Grand Junction and are all pretty much in the same boat right now. We all have an overflow of Tetramoriums and have been trying to give them away, but everyone already has all the need.

Would be cool if those of us in GJ could all hook up the next time it rains and head out on a hunt, would be fun!

Welcome to the world of ants!

Hi from Golden! I've got lots of Tetramorium from the back yard and a few Camponotus. I have a great spot with 9 huge Pogonomyrmex occidentalis colonies. All about 5 feet from each other. Should be flying sometime this month.

Cheers

Mikhail

Welcome Kujawaorchids!  Have you caught many Camponotus?  And how did you get that beautiful picture?  We've got a Colorado Ant chat going.  I'll add you to it as well.

Thank you Michael! I'll post there from now on. I have caught 4 Camponotus, two being different species. I got that picture in the back yard, from a colony that has flown 3 times in last 2 weeks at 7am every time.

Hey guys,

I'm on the yearly hunt for camponotus but still don't have a good time period for their flights. Does anyone have any advice for approximate time periods?

Thanks as always!

Uh, why is this in General Market Place, only one person mentioned they were selling ants. This should be moved somewhere else perhaps?

Not really a great idea to post a personal email on a public forum. Use PM for that.
