I found a trail of S. Xyloni in my back yard. I can't tell where the actual nest is, it might be between a crack in the cement or in my neighbors back yard.

 

 

I put down some saturated sugar water that i have fed to my ants just to see their reaction. As you can tell by the photos they went "wild" for it.

 

 

there's also a couple photos of ant holes in my driveway. These were dug my an unidentified species of black ants.

For some reason, the presence of anthills satisfies me to an alarming degree.

Those look like founding chambers. Also, I can now confirm that I have Solenopsis xyloni!

I don't think they are founding chambers, i saw several tiny black ants and several holes across my driveway. Just couldn't get the picture of the ants.

No one pic has an ant. I would say Formica

Those kinda look like Dorymyrmex or Tetramorium nests. I have similar nests at my school.

If you zoom in on the hills you can see they are little black ants. Might be Tetra but i really don't know as they wernt as active as the Solenopsis

Same here, although mine are sort of brownish. I think they are tetras; notice how they nest between two slabs of the concrete or whatever it is.

Ya its an Asphalt driveway with cracks in it. that's the only place they nest. There is dirt next to it but they choose the driveway.
