I know the one on the right is a fire ant, but not sure about the left one.

1. Location of collection: Houston, Texas

2. Date of collection: 3/31/17

3. Habitat of collection: well, I found the black one in a bucket full of water and saved it, the fire ant I found in my home. Unfortunately the fire ant passed away not entirely sure why. Had to dump the whole test tube just to get it out. So that's why it's drenched.

4. Length (from head to gaster): ~9mm for both

5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: as far as I can tell, it's all black the fire ant is it's usual red with black gaster.

Managed to find a way to post some pics.
