Diacamma have 2 pupae, and the anochetus has a tiny larvae! that is the fastest develpoping ponerinae ant I have ever had. I also found a 3 queen harpegnathos colony after some boys smashed their drone into the nest.

Well, it's been a while and the harpegnathos had larvae and pupae. Suprisingly, the first ant to enclose was a queen! she is now a dealate with her 8 new sisters. they have 2 pupae and some larvae right now. The Ectomomyrmex queen has 2 larvae which are growing slowly. Very slowly.

Do they mate in the nest?

As far as I know I need a male, or the queen will just act like a superworker.

It has been a while, and I have a picture of one of the new queens. they have 9 pupae waiting to enclose and quite a few larvae.

(new queen)

Also the ectommoyrmex has eaten her pupae an larvae.

A while back the harpegnathos started to die for no understandable reason, but thankfully, those deaths have stopped now. I caught 5 ectommomyrmex queens (all in one test tube) which now have a few eggs. The diacamma have a few batches of eggs and nothing else.

i really recomend using test tubes on those ponerines

i have seen that test tubes with a little bit of moist substrate will speed the egg production

also, those pseudoponera look very cramp in those test tubes, maybe a formicarium with soil would help.
