21780 Pamo Rd. in Cleveland National Forest in California: Orosco Ridge Trail.
A little past that address, there was a hiking trail to the left and with a small side parking lot with dirt surface. I parked there, and went down to where the trail splits into two trails. I took the left one, and it went uphill to a nice view of more mountains. On that small hill at the top, I saw a few holes with dirt around it. I shoveled about 6 inches down and found a myrmecocystus queen in each. Some of the holes were a hit and some were a miss. At the end of the night, I got 4 queens. Here are some pictures of the entrance to the trail and an overall view of Cleveland National Forest in case you decide to go there. The place was quite, saw very very few people on the Sunday I went, maybe 5-7 people in 10 hrs. I hope this helps.
