Species: camponotus noveboracensis

 

Location found: In a wood pile near my swamp

 

Age of colony: 1 year old

 

Workers/nanitics: 8

 

Majors: 0

This colony hibernated with just a lone worker, some brood, and the queen. and now she's up to 8 workers. don't let the small amount of workers make you think they arent active, they love to forage and will go after food within a couple minutes of me putting it in. I'm not really sure how big they will get this year, but I would love to see over 100 workers.
