New member here from Kansas! I recently purchased an Uncle Milton farm for fun and quickly fell in love with watching my ants. I wanted to know more about their behavior, biology, and how I could best care for them, so before I knew it I found myself wanting to raise my own colony. But look who I'm talking to. We've all been down this road.
So, I'll be searching out my first queen(s) over the next weeks and months to begin my true adventures in formiculture. I'm excited to learn from everyone else who already has successful colonies as well as share my story.

Welcome to the hobby! I am new too! I have failed at catching and keeping ants for a couple years, but I will not give up! I am much better prepared this year and I too hope to catch some! Any ants in particular you will be looking out for!? Just remember don't be discouraged in this unforgiving hobby!
