Ant #2 -- ant war?

1. Location of collection: Besides my house.
2. Date of collection: 30.3.2017
3. Habitat of collection: There is a house from one side, and little flower area fenced with a wood that might be rotten now.
4. Length (from head to gaster): Very, very very small, I'd say 2mm tops.
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: /// No idea, see the pic.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Very small, slow walking, fascinating to me. Crawling all around. I think I spotted them on 3 different places today.
7. Distinguishing behavior: ///
8. Nest description: Couldn't find it.

Location means geographical location, FYI.

If you've enjoyed using my expertise and identifications, please do not create undue ecological risk by releasing your ants. The environment which we keep our pet insects is alien and oftentimes unsanitary, so ensure that wild populations stay safe by giving your ants the best care you can manage for the rest of their lives, as we must do with any other pet.

Exotic ants are for those who think that vibrant diversity is something you need to pay money to see. It is illegal to transport live ants across state lines.

Black lives still matter.

Hello from Bulgaria! The first ant is Formica sp. in the rufa group I think. And yes, the second is Tetramorium but might not be caespitum. These Formica fly sometime in May but are really hard to look after. I don't know anyone who had successfully looked after them. Tetramorium ussually fly in June and maybe the first days of July. Good luck!
