Yeah Pheidoles were a lot smaller ants than I expected.

This really depends on on the species. While it's true, certain species are small, many like Pheidole obscurithorax, Pheidole vorax, etc. are not.

Thanks for the clarification, I'll check them out. The ones we've seen in the desert over here were surprisingly small.
