The son and i had some fun and put together two formicariums for personal use. He picked out the colors, sand, and rocks for his small setup, and i finished my large Tetramorium setup.

 

Here's some pictures.

 

This is my sons new setup. Doesn't have the sponge in or anything yet. Just the start. He picked the colors and interior. Also put the rocks in himself.

Here's mine. Built this for my Tetramorium colony. Has built in hydration with a window on the inside for levels. Can hydrate from outside of the nest. This was a first attempt at this style of nest and i enjoyed making it. Will be making more of these if anyone would be interested in either of the setups.

Your son has an eye for good designs... you on other hand could learn from him. :lol:
Just kidding, they both look great. I really like your hydration system in the second one.

I like how the first one resembles an Uncle Milton ant farm.
