I currently have 2 queens. One just got her eggs today, other one has nothing so far. Trying to keep myself from checking on them again for at least 2 weeks .

Update (4/19/17): Well one queen was infertile and died. The other one has a pile of eggs and larvae already. Her gaster is also very inflated.

How is the queen doing now?
How is the queen doing now?
She now has 3 large separate piles of eggs. Not much otherwise.

Wow, and still no larvae or pupae?

I'm fairly sure that Prenolepis imparis take relatively longer than most ants to grow; my queens that I caught in Late February still don't even have larvae- this may be a factor of the temperature, but I don't know.

I should get prepared for some waiting, if that's the case. When did yours actually start laying eggs?

Usually a week or two after capture.

She started like 3 weeks to a month after capture. I forgot to add, she does have larvae.
