So I’ve been wondering if I can keep Lasius Neoniger in a ytong nest. I am concerned that they may escape through the little holes in the nest or chew their way out. If they could do that, do you have any suggestions on nests?

Sure. They'd be fine.
Currently keeping:
Tetramorium immigrans, Pogonomyrmex occidentalis
Myrmica punctiventris, Formica subsericea
Formica pallidefulva, Aphaeogaster cf. rudis
Camponotus pennsylvanicus
Camponotus nearcticus
Crematogaster cerasi
Temnothorax ambiguus
Prenolepis imparis

I suggest you try a Y-Tong nest and keep an eye on the colony so you can move them at the right time and they don't try to escape. If they just try to escape, chill them and quickly set up a new setup (like tubs and tubes) and then look for another formicarium

But in the meantime get a big tote. With a barrier of baby powder, fluon or olive oil around the top of it and place the ytong nest inside it. See any escapees, then you know. If after a week they don't show any signs of successful evasion, then you should be good.

A type 3 mini hearth would probably work for Lasius Neoniger.
He travels, he seeks the p a r m e s a n.

That is always a option, however, probably more expensive than the current Y-Tong nest he has.
