I caught a Solenopsis spp. (Most likely S.geminata) Queen in October, then another one in early December. The second queen I caught laid eggs, and got her nanitics in January, whereas the first queen lost her first clutch of eggs to mold. I kept her alive and introduced her to Queen#2's colony (approx. 9 workers) on February-13, 2017. A few days later, and the colony has accepted the queen and she even laid a batch of eggs!
Currently both queens are alive and healthy, and are kept in a darkened test-tube setup attached to a mini-outworld made out of a small plastic box lined with Vaseline as a barrier.
