Hello guys.

Going to start making some species specific journals. Normally I would just combine my species into one giant journal, but that’s not helpful to anyone looking for information on any particular species.

For my first species specific journal, I will be showing my Crematogaster cerasi. Here i'll be labeling results for foods and liquids i offer to this particular species, as well as any other findings that would aid another hobbyist in rearing this beautiful species.

I’ve had Crematogaster in the past, but never really documented much of their growth process. This queen was caught and traded to me from a local anter last year around September. She had not laid any eggs yet, so I figured she was gearing up for hibernation.

Queen SKU: C-1

Species: Crematogaster cerasi

Common Name: Acrobat Ant

Acquired Date: 9-1-16

Housing: Test Tube

Hibernation Start: 10-1-16

Hibernation End: 2-2-17

2-11-17

Her first batch of eggs. She’s a champion!

Looks like she’s about to get a worker. Oh man.

Her first worker arrived! Look at how tiny she is!

As time goes on, I will be adding in my other Crematogaster queens and colonies.

Stay Tuned.

Loops.

Exciting! I will compare your colonies growth to mine and see how different they are.
