I ditched my old idea of using nest mates for the hydration. I realized I could just cut out a hole for water and drill 1mm holes to let the humidity through. I used some really small tubing for refilling. It makes for a much cleaner look.

Two Dremels burned up so this project is over. I can't find a inexpensive tool to do the job, so I'm going to just get my formicariums from THA.

I got 4 really nice one's made before that though so not bad.

For that material, you might could get by with a regular drill press and milling bits.  That's a tool that certainly wouldn't "burn up."

Don't give up! I do it with a drill press and bits.

Also, there's other companies you could support.
