I was looking at insect cages online and found a cheap cage for oecophylla I am not planning on keeping them but I have seen several threads about how expensive it is to house them so I immediately thought to post about it here for anyone who is keeping them and doesnt have the money to buy a giant terrarium.

Well, these are actually fairly expensive for what they are. However while I don't have oecophylla, I may end up getting one of these for my moths. ;)

They would prolly chew through that fairly quickly. Could be wrong though.

When I said cheap I meant for the size and I didn't know they could chew that well

That cage has a screen side, so it can't do that much in the way of controlling humidity and temperature. Why not just keep weaver ants on a potted plant surrounded by a moat?

That's what most Europeans that keep this species do. I've rarely read anything about keeping them in without a moat.
