I can't get any pictures because I do not have a camera but here is as much details also I caught a host queen with this queen and they both have workers, the host has eggs but the slave makers have none.
Supposedly F. aserva
1. Red head and thorax black/dark gaster and mandibles
2. extremely aggresive
3. nests out in the open
4. seems like a parisite or slave maker
5. queen looks same as the workers only with a slightly (noticably) larger thorax
6. workers pulling at cotton and queen stays very calm, usally scattered in the test tube and no eggs yet
7. queen is about the same size as the workers (which I think is wierd)
The host colony, maybe Formica?
1. The queen is the size of Formica fusca queens, maybe slightly smaller
2. The colony nests under large stones and out in the open
3. also aggresive
4. queen appears to be black but when a bright light shines on her the bottom of her thorax is a vary dark orangish-red color
5. workers have a black head and gaster but with a very dark (noticable) red color
6. how I collected the queen was I shaked the hill a little and the workers came scattering out along with a queen and she already laid eggs but a little figity* to movements
