Myrmecocystus navajo, Myrmecocystus cf. yuma, and possibly Myrmecocystus cf. mimicus.
why are they so expensive ?
I'm not sure what "they" is referring to, but I don't even have any price listed on the Myrmecocystus yet. As for everything else, I price these based on how many I have available. Since my primary goal is to catch these and have one or two successful colonies for myself, depending on the chance of me having a successful colony, I decide what I would be willing to take to give one away, and essentially lower that chance. For instance, at this point every Myrmecocystus I have is priceless to me, so even though I have a bunch of them, I don't have any available; same with Acromyrmex.
nvm
I may have a few Camponotus modoc queens to sell at the end of next May, just to put it out there. Willing to trade for other species.
*In the LA area of course
Greg, weren't you looking for some? (Just curious)

WELCOME BACK LANT!
I will probably have my own by next year...
i don't like camponotus
if they escape they tear down your house, i don't like them. I'm sticking to harvesters, fire ants, and honey pots
Around here, very few species of Camponotus do any damage to wood; they don't even nest in it.
Yeah, what drew said. Most species like Camponotus vicinus for example nest in soil under rocks.
not to mention they'll probably get screwed by the aliens
i hear that camponotus vicinus is one of the most common house pests
It nests under rocks.
C. vicinus nests in the ground, under rocks, and sometimes in wood. It has been mentioned as one of the known pest species.
Camponotus vicinus is probably my favorite, although I would love to get C.modoc, C.absquatulator, C.laevigatus, and C.semitestaceous. <- Instead of having to say it like that we should make a thread for the users of Formiculture goals of 2015.
i don't like Camponotus semitestaceous
wait are those the ones with the bleack heads and yellow body ?
