If the protein comes from milk, then ants won't be able to digest it. Myrmicine ants might be able to handle vegetable protein, but I have never tried this. Insects are the best.
If you've enjoyed using my expertise and identifications, please do not create undue ecological risk by releasing your ants. The environment which we keep our pet insects is alien and oftentimes unsanitary, so ensure that wild populations stay safe by giving your ants the best care you can manage for the rest of their lives, as we must do with any other pet.
Exotic ants are for those who think that vibrant diversity is something you need to pay money to see. It is illegal to transport live ants across state lines.

Black lives still matter.
I was wondering the same - protein bars should work as an addition to what they already get, although I'm not sure how to apply protein shakes (drops on foil? soaked in cotton?) as they most likely will mold very quickly.

We should respect all forms of consciousness. The body is just a vessel, a mere hull.

Yeah, If you think about it protein shakes will provide the perfect conditions for mold.

When I got home from the gym, I tried giving my ants some of mine. They showed no interest at all.
Caffeine is apparently toxic to insects in a high enough dosage, be careful to get a drink with no caffeine. I wouldn't recommend feeding your ants G-Fuel or a 5-hour energy if you were thinking about it.
