Found her on the door step, very tiny looks to be shiny black. (Sorry wasn't using the proper template for ID).

Nice find! D. taschenbergi certainly seems to match the specimen's shininess. I've only ever seen one Dolichoderus plagiatus queen, and she was more dull, almost in the same way as dark Myrmica appear.

I don't think many people have ever kept this species. Try searching through the ant journals in this forum and perhaps Antdude's antfarm.yuku.com. They don't really sound like they have any special needs.
