I'm not sure if this is General AntKeeping... More on Off Topic... I chose Odantomachus workers. Killer bite and can jump out of the way. Also they pack a nasty sting.

Strength in numbers in the Most important in ant warfare

Not true. Size matters a ton as well. (Not saying that numbers doesn't matter) Like Diacamma and Carebara diversus majors can just reck havoc and chew/sting through everything. Another thing that counts in war is weaponry. YCA (Yellow Crazy Ants) have formic acid and tiny jaws and they seem like the peoples' choice right now, I can see why but in weaponry Odantomachus clearly have the advantage. With jaws that close in milliseconds, the ability to move out the way by jumping, their overall size difference, and finally their ability to inject toxins instead of spraying them.

It's in General Anting, not General antKeeping :P

Also, I think that off topic is for other animals. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm still new to this forum. :)

I would think that the Atta majors have the best chance. Most of the contenders in this opinion poll are not specialized at fighting other ants (except Neivamyrmex, but a small, lone ant is not very imposing). Atta and Dorylus majors are the only ants on this list powerful enough to draw blood from a human, but I think that Dorylus would be behaviorally limited without the rest of their colony. Atta majors are large and powerful enough to kill or maim any one of these ants with a single bite.

If you've enjoyed using my expertise and identifications, please do not create undue ecological risk by releasing your ants. The environment which we keep our pet insects is alien and oftentimes unsanitary, so ensure that wild populations stay safe by giving your ants the best care you can manage for the rest of their lives, as we must do with any other pet.

Exotic ants are for those who think that vibrant diversity is something you need to pay money to see. It is illegal to transport live ants across state lines.

See but the thing is Atta are like tanks, clumsy huge but deadly. I would go with the Dorylus because although they are restricted to the rest of the colony, so are the Atta. And When the Atta tries to bite the Dorylus, it can avoid the huge clumsy Atta. While the Atta only have 2 slow clumsy but powerful majors, Dorylus have 1 Major and 2 workers. I would imagine the major would distract while the miners would tear and sting them to death.

Human analogies don't really work on ants. Atta are much more independent than Dorylus, which never leave the proximity of their colony. The speed of any ant depends on its metabolic rates, not its size. Any ant that grabs onto an Atta major is liable to be pulled towards its mandibles and bitten. Of course, none of us know for sure what the outcome of this would be, because these two ants have never been in contact with one another.

I doubt that they'll able to kill 2 Odantomachus sp workers or the Driver Ants. Also what do u mean by killing techniques? If u mean the way they stretch their enemies legs, that wouldn't be effective with that many workers. If any of the ants I listed above get a hold of them they are basically dead meat. Odantomachus sp can easily decapitate a crazy ant with one bite. Driver Ants could just rip it apart, Attas would do the same.

I doubt that 7 Yellow crazy ants can immobilize 2 Atta soldiers. That's 3.5 Yellows for one Atta soldier which can just cut them in half.

They'd need like at least four times as many workers for that.

And please don't start ant battles to pleasure your curiosity. Chicken and dog fights are forbidden for a reason.
