All sorts of insects, including scorpions, but those are helpful as food for ants.
Well I don't think it attracts scorpions really, as it's just flying insects that will land on it. Scorpions however, will glow green/yellow when a black light is shined on them.
Did you keep some of the brood alive? I wonder how the workers of this species look like.
All the brood slowly disappeared.
What is that supposed to mean tpro?
Update 6-30-2015
I found another six of these alates on my black light the other night. I boosted all six of them with some S. xyloni pupae. Hopefully I have a fertile one.
Update 7-25-2015
All 14 of these queens are now dead.
Are you planning on tring these again anytime soon?
Update 7-25-2018
Found a few of these the other night in Trabuco Canyon, two of them dealates. I have been keeping a few S. xyloni queens this year so I can use their brood in trying to rear some of these again. I gave them each a few darkened pupae, and one even got a callow worker. We'll see how it goes this year.
Update 12-5-2018
They all died of course.
wow
this species must be very difficult to care for.
I'm trying not to revive old threads

No offence but please don't revive old threads, like Manitobant has mentioned in other threads it clogs up the recent post threads, and there are multiple other journals of this sp that are more recent.

1X Solenopsis molesta 10 Workers (mono)
