I am going to be starting a journal on my Pheidole colony, it consists of 5 workers, 1 queen and some brood. I caught lots of these queens in April, most of them died, however this queen pulled through somehow. She had another queen as her companion when she was in the test tube. Sadly they fought when the 5th worker eclosed and forced me to jump into action and take out the queen that the workers and other queen were attacking. Pics up soon

Just checked on them today and a new worker hatched! They now have 6 workers. I also put a live fruit fly in and they caught it in about 30 seconds and started biting it.

Here's a video which shows the colony.

They have loads of brood and about 40 workers and 3 majors. The majors seem to be getting smaller and smaller each generation anyone know why?

This colony has been growing quite fast. They have around 80 minors, 7 majors and a ton of brood, the queen mustn't want to stop for hibernation

As you can see they have been collecting some seeds.
