We don't have RIFA in California so probably Solenopsis xyloni major

Your right I was doing some research and we do have RIFA its just not as prevalent

S. xyloni would be the more likely option. If this is indeed a Solenopsis.

There are isolated populations of solenopsis geminata in southern united states
