Hi All

 

Jack's just put his queen in a brick shed ready for hibernation. I'm going to get him high low thermometer to go in there. Just checking what the minimum temperature could be? I wouldn't think the shed drops below about 4c?

Oops just checked the ant keeping guide seems 5-12 is about right.

Should be fine, assuming it doesn't get any cooler than that or much warmer either. :)

As long as it doesn't get any lower or higher it should be fine, remember to make sure to check their water out, you can't just throw ants into hibernation for 4 months and come back [well, you can but sometimes things go south, esp. if Water runs out, they may not need food but they still need water source for humidity]
