Please do not add any TarHeelAnts sizes or averages to the graph. The chart is not accurate to determine worth, and owner of THA prefers to have his information not on the graph as it can discourage members that didn't read the full post.

No issue :)

I can understand a business owner asking for non-public information or trade secrets to be removed (although you wouldn't be obliged unless the information was illegally obtained). But really, did a grown man just ask you not to help people do math with numbers you obtained from the merchant's own website?

That said, a better calculation for capacity is the volume and surface area of the usable spaces only, which I understand may be difficult, though far from impossible, to calculate for a handmade product.

So someone--a business, requested you remove information (mathematics to be exact) from public view, and you obliged? I find it funny how much of a disdain people in this country have for free speech and open discussion.

No no, Mack is very nice. He simply came to me and asked why it was there and I explained what it was, I offered remove it if needed, and he said that might just be a good idea, but I just got the size wrong on the nucleus. I don't want anymore issues, so I just simply removed the information.

Yeah, Mack some times doesn't do so well with criticism and the "unbiased" discussion of his products. Look at his forum for example, which does not allow people to mention products from other stores / products made by members / negative criticism revolving / around products and their condition. One time, while talking with terry in the chat room about Mack's services, someone here on the forum relayed what I had said back to Mack without our knowledge and, although I apologized and he had forgiven me, He was not very pleased when he sent me several "angry / upset" messages on facebook. If you are reading this Mack, please understand that this in no way is meant to discourage others from buying your products (I have recommended your products for times than I can count.) or as a means to say that your products are poorly made (I am still a huge fan of your products and your work and wish to do more business with you in the future.). Please take what I have said with a grain of salt and take into account that here on this forum, freedom of speech is not only allowed, but is the cornerstone on which this forum was founded upon.

Did you mean to say "take what I have said as constructive criticism"?

sure, either works. I just want to show that I only want peace and the ability to speak my mind. I don't want their to be conflict. posting this is already a risk.

I think what is happening here is an example of the Streisand Effect.

I think so too. I don't want to become an enemy so to speak of Mack's so let's keep peace on the thread and halt further discussion of THA.

This is ridiculous. The chart used PUBLIC information available FREELY.

EVERYONE could make that chart, it doesn't even need an exceptional amount of research.

The only thing this table needs is a disclaimer that price doesn't necessarily have anything to with quality (counts for good AND bad) and that large nests will always be cheaper per inch² than small nests simply due to the relation between fabrication process and material costs (fabrication costs are relatively fixed but materials usually are the smallest cost portion of a nest so larger = cheaper per inch²).

Due to this fact average prices are absolutely useless and should not be in the chart at all.

I'm gonna make a proper chart with these additions (and maybe nest sizes in ich³ if I can find them).

Information isn't accessible (It's set to private).

Here is a proper chart with more manufacturers:

Looking at that chart, it is great to live in Europe.
