Are the workers, soldiers, or queens of this species bigger than 10mm ?

No. I don't know how many Pheidole you're going to find that size.

Just fed the colony today and counted approximately 130 workers. :)

That's quite a bit, do these grow fast just like most Pheidole species?

I don't know that most grow fast. I think some can grow pretty fast if you have a healthy queen.

This colony seems to be losing a lot of workers, so I moved them into a dirt box. They have already customized it quite a bit.

This colony continued to lose lots of workers and is now down to just a couple.

How come? I find that my Pheidole is quite picky on their foods, so I have been giving them various of foods recently.

I found another one of these queens wandering around on the ground on 6-17-2016, in Trabuco Canyon, CA. I just put it in a test tube setup for now.
