Hello, my name is John I'm 31 years old and I live in the Netherlands.
I have been a fan of ants my whole life, when my friends where burning ants with magnifying glasses I was secretly giving them sugar around the corner
I started in 2010, razing some colonies of Lasius niger and Lasius flavus.
Did this with a slow paste, learning from my errors and creating new setups.
Stopped for a year in 2013 because I moved houses.
In 2014 I obtained my first Messor barbarus colony, currently my biggest ant colony.
Picked up a few Lasius niger queens in 2015 and again made plans to expand my colonies.
Begin this year I created my own room, and setup wall for my ants.
Also, made a new nest for my Messor barbarus, we went true ups and downs this year.
Also, got some new starting colonies, I love to see them grow up.
I curently own:
Messor barbarus (2014)
Lasius niger (2015)
Lasius flavus (2016)
Lasius umbratus (2016)
Formica fusca (2016)
Pheidole pallidula (2016)
Camponotus herculeanus (2016)
Camponotus chilensis (2016)
And comming Soon
Camponotus barbaricus
Harpegnathos venator
I try to make a lot of photos and videos of my colonies, I post them on my YouTube channel.
I hope to learn even more on this forum, and it is gonna take me a while to read true it al
Greetings John
