I don't really now much about Ants in Nevada, it might be too late. However I don't now when nuptial flights take place in Neveda. Do some research to see when nuptial flights take place in your area?
I can dig around for you on other forums i go to and see if their is any other Nevada ant people their if you want?
I live in the Elko area, and for the most part nuptial flights are over up here in the northern part. I did see a colony of Pogonomyrmex occidentalis last week that was acting like it was going to fly, but I am sure it got knocked down by afternoon showers. Unfortunately, I am new to the hobby so I only have 1 queen who hasn't started producing yet, I believe because she is going into hibernation. I also have not seen anybody selling queens in our state. Sorry about the lack of help, but Spring will come and with it lots of queens (hopefully). Nevada has a very large diversity of ant species.
Current Colony:
4x Camponotus (hyatti?)
