Very interesting.

I have noticed in the past that when offered a certain food, some ants happily accept it, while other colonies of the same species reject it instanteously as a group. Yet, if I take one worker from the group that refected it, and let it examine the food source alone it will often accept it, so alarm odours from other ants can influence the feeding habits of other ants.
