Hey all,
I just caught 54 parasitic lasius queens, and I need some brood and workers so get them started. Looking for almost eclosed workers, with callow or regular workers to take care of them until they hatch so I can give to my lasius. I don't want queens, just some brood+workers. Please PM me if you can sell some to me, or trade.

Are you giving queens for free? Or selling?
Yeah, $10 shipped for 1 queen, every added queen is $4. I have umbratus and claviger.

You ought to feed them and put them into hibernation.
If you've enjoyed using my expertise and identifications, please do not create undue ecological risk by releasing your ants. The environment which we keep our pet insects is alien and oftentimes unsanitary, so ensure that wild populations stay safe by giving your ants the best care you can manage for the rest of their lives, as we must do with any other pet.
Exotic ants are for those who think that vibrant diversity is something you need to pay money to see. It is illegal to transport live ants across state lines.

The queens? Should I give them protein or sugars? I have about 50-60 of them.

Wow! 50 queens, maybe you should give me some tips then! That's a lot of ants and alot of money in test tubes! By the way I had three lasius umbratus queens I tried to introduce workers too. Do you have a recommended species that I can introduce them to in the future?

My most successful colony had Lasius alienus host workers. What's really important is their age, which is why Kevin is looking for brood and callow workers.

Lasius niger will also work, got a little video of one of my Lasius umbratus queens killing her host queen.
